For the 15th consecutive year,
a special Heritage Day for Youth is organized
by the CAUE
(Council for Architecture, Town Planning
and the Environment)
on the 2nd Friday of September each year
just one day before the European Heritage Days.
The Council aims at raising the awareness
of young people in schools of the importance of their local urban, cultural, architectural
and landscape heritage.
Adapted visits and workshops are then held to make them experience something unique and memorable.
And, in this way, the Art teacher Ms. Bourlet and I took the 9th Graders of 3ème 2
on a kind of "Green" Treasure hunt
in their neighbourhood,
from their school to the East foot of the Eiffel Tower between 11.00 a.m. to 12.15 p.m..
Then, they went picnicking on the grass
in the Champs-de-Mars park.
the Artists' Garden"!
